OUR FARM
At Hamilton Farms we strive to fill a
need in the community for naturally raised beef, chickens, and eggs.
We have developed a farm that encompasses animal husbandry and
cottage industries. We provide a quality product to the local and
broader community. Our cottage industry is sold through local venues
and mail order sales. As owner-operators, we, Pat and Nancy
Hamilton, enjoy what we do and like to share our experience with
others.
Our cottage industry’s strengths
are in its quality, one-of-a-kind handmade items. No two carving or
fiber art is the same. The oatmeal soap and
hand-dipped beeswax candles contain no animal bi-products. We mill lumber from our trees
to build our outbuildings.
We are unique in the ability of our
customers to observe how the animals are humanely and naturally
raised. We produce grass fed locker beef without the use of
hormones. We raise hearty Scottish
Highland Cattle, which, because
of their long hair, are low in fat. Local customers drop by with
their children to visit and hold newly hatched chicks. Throughout
the year visitors can observe a turkey, ducks, hens, roosters, and
are able to feed hay to cows from
the back of the truck. Our flower beds contain flowers that are
grown specifically as food for birds and wildlife.
